Designing for sustainability and resilience is an attitude, and is the foundation of our value system. Our definitions of sustainability and resilience include the social, economic and environmental as integral considerations. Although the projects listed here are responding to specific sustainability requirements prescribed by the brief, all of our work has sustainable development intentions at its core.
The FLOW project, which appears anomalous in a built environment portfolio was partly born out of the frustration that good projects that are driven by sustainability concerns often do not get implemented because new and apparently complex ways of doing things are demanded. The project explores what it might take to build the transformative capacity that is required for fundamental change.
